I have been thinking about ideas for either the recession up the aisle or for the grand exit/entrance of the reception. I love the ideas I've seen for rose petal tossing cones. I also really like the "Ecofetti" I saw on EcoParti. It would be great for outdoor weddings. I found a site that shows DIY instructions for the tossing cones, with a template that I'm sure a person could modify to suit their size needs. I think it would be great for anyone wanting to print their own message on the cones to have the template for guidance.

Gorgeous Aisle Ideas
Wow. The Knot is currently showcasing ceremony ideas. I found some gorgeous aisle pictures. I love the monogram runner, the paper lanterns are gorgeous for an outdoor ceremony (and could be used inside if space permits), and I am falling more and more in love everyday of the rose petals. Unfortunately I don't have a flower girl, but I have an idea to use a flower young adult... I think she would go for it and just love to walk down the aisle in front of me and stand up there with all the other women. It's not quite the bridesmaid's position she's been asking me so so much about, but it would still make her an important part of the wedding. We'll see what happens Ash.

Honeymoon Planning
The honeymoon planning has gotten underway and we're teetering between 2 resorts that we fell in love with right off the bat. Everything that we look at since doesn't seem to compare to either of these two. They are both in the Cancun / Mayan Riviera region of Mexico. Mexico, by the way, was one of the last places we were considering in the honeymoon planning. But it sure seems like a front runner now. We're looking at the Moon Palace Golf and Spa Resort as well as the Playacar Palace Resort. Being avid golfers, we are of course looking for someplace with good golf deals, which we have found the best at these two resorts. The Moon Palace Resort is gradually becoming more and more our favorite pick of the two.

Busy Busy
Sorry it's been so long since my last post. It's been a very long couple weeks at work, trying to get everything back up to where we need it to be to operate smoothly. We're in a couple of trailers, and my filing cabinets are now a couple of rubbermaid containers and a cardboard box, but my end is ready to roll. I haven't had nearly the chance to look up wedding ideas. But I did find something I thought was sute. I love the letters saying "I Do" on the cake table I've seen them in a few pictures now. Lately we've been looking into honeymoon destinations, so Dan can have an idea of what we are looking for so he can start his planning. So far we've decided we would like an all inclusive golf and spa resort. We've found a couple and he's searching for more.

Accessories
I've been scanning the websites of some of myfavorite stores for accessories for my wedding dress. I love the stockings shown below. I have them in black already, but am really considering buying a white pair. I also thought about just buying a pair of plain white thigh highs and sewing a blue bow onto them for the "something blue".
I found this earring set at the same store. I like the rinestone drop earrings at the left side. They would match the necklace I liked from another one.
This is the necklace I liked. It's just a simple rinestone choker. I have always prefered chokers and shorter necklaces, plus it would look great with a strapless or spaghetti strap dress.
Hair. What to do with hair! I haven't any clue yet. I was growing my hair out for about 6 months before the engagement, and have decided to keep growing it out now as well. Here are some hair items I liked. The first picture is just a sparkle headband, I've seen them in a few stores and they come in many colors, but I just want silver. I saw a cute idea in one of my bridal magazines where the model had 3 of them spaced apart in her hair. I loved the way it looked.
This was just simple and cute. Just a satin ribbon tied in a bow.
These are adorable. I love stars and these blue and silver star bobbi pins were just up my alley.
Everything except the necklace was found at Hot Topic. The necklace was found at Claire's.

Pew Bows
I have saved some pictures along the way of pew bows and some alternatives. I love the crossed ribbon, although you'd have to be fortunate enough to get chairs/pews that would allow for that. I like the signs because you could make them all different if you wanted, or use them with the other designs. I think they'd be cute on the first set down the aisle or alternated with the other designs.

Invitation Styles
I think we've picked an invitation style, but I'll also list the "runner ups". The following designs are runner ups in our search.

DIY: CD Programs
No, not the kind of software programs you buy at the store. One Knottie Bio Bride on www.theknot.com made these programs for her wedding. She has posted instructions and templates here. They are gorgeous and very unique. I love the idea, we'll just have to see what Dan thinks of them. But they can be used as the program for your wedding and reception, and as a favor for the guests. Cute!

Amazing Prices
I found a site that sells some amazing wedding things at amazing prices. The selection is somewhat limited, but I found exactly what I was looking for, especially for candles and holders. I truly recommend this site, it's worth taking a look at. I was worried about finding candle holders- tea light and votive - in the quanities I need without spending a fortune, and they far surpassed my expectations. Check them out here: Cudge.net

Cards
Well, of all the details, of course what I had forgotten about is a card box. Good ole internet eh? Sounds dumb, but that could be cute if we use the goldfish on the tables, to get an oversized fish bowl for have the cards put in. Decorate it with ribbon or with glass paint with our names and the date or something. Or it just might be a good excuse to buy one of those gorgeous leather wrapped storage boxes I've wanted for a long time. After we're done with it at the wedding, I can have it at home.
Guest Books
I have been looking for ideas to use instead of a traditional guestbook. There are some I like, but I really like the idea of using a large photo frame with thick white matting and having people sign it with a super fine black marker. They can write anything they'd like or just sign their names. Then you can hang it on the wall with a pic from the wedding or whatever, instead of tucking it away like a guest book eventually does. But I've also heard of people using polaroid cameras to have a pic of every guest, but I think those of our camera shy guests wouldn't like that too much.

Candles
Candles! I can't deny I love candles. And so of course, I want to use a lot of candles as decorations. But I don't want them to look plain... well take a look at these. I can't even narrow it down to a few ideas.
These are wonderful. They use scrapbooking brads and stick them into the candles. I love the initial idea, Wouldn't that look good with a "W'.
